I'm a full-stack engineer with a front-end center of gravity, building accessible, fast, pragmatic web applications and the standards that keep them maintainable.
I'm currently Staff Engineer and front-end lead at Cassi, where I own a customer-facing SvelteKit platform end to end: architecture, delivery, and quality standards. I was the only developer on it for its first five months, which is where the current front-end architecture and engineering conventions came from. I designed the boundary between the SvelteKit server routes and a separately deployed Fastify service, I review every client-side pull request, and I've built tooling that audits the codebase against our coding standards and architectural rules, so enforcement doesn't depend on me catching things by hand.
I use LLM coding agents heavily in production work, typically several Claude Code agents running at once across separate Git worktrees, then integrate the results into one coherent codebase.
Before Cassi: Vue 3 platform architecture at arqu, backend services at Urbint, and a full-stack platform at A.M. Best that replaced legacy Excel-based actuarial models. Further back, a PhD in applied mathematics and an actuarial career, which is why data modeling and correctness tend to show up in how I build things.
