If I press "df" followed by a character, then press "." to repeat the command, it doesn't work as expected. It seems to duplicate the whole command rather than repeat the deletion.

How to replicate, type something with a lot of repeated characters, for example:

$ one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight

Then go to command mode and press "0" to go to the start of the line, now press "df-". This works as expected and all characters up to and including the next "-" are deleted. However, if you try to repeat this multiple times by pressing "." then things blow up.
