Jekyll currently support markdown and textile markup.

Is there any chance to have asciidoc markup available ? http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/

Thank you very much.

We'll definitely accept a patch for this if you're willing to hack it up. That being said, I wonder if the templating system within Jekyll could be refactored in a way to make this kind of extension easier.

oh, well, if I was able to do this, I will definitely send you a patch :)
asciidoc is written in python, and I don't have any idea of how integrate this in jekyll.

But thank you for your quick answer :)

How about integrating with gollum? I has API and 6 different formats. AFAIK gollum currently supports only dynamic conversion which requires running gollum instance.

Why is this issue closed? Does Jekyll support asciidoc now? I have read that Gollum does support it, but Jekyll is what powers GitHub pages and I think it's important to allow people to use asciidoc there.

I have no clue about Ruby to provide you with a patch, unfortunately... :-(

We're going to use Tilt eventually. Maybe 1.5. :)
