Plugin receives incoming webhook request, but does not build. #143
Comments
Version of Jenkins is at 1.619. The logs aren't showing any issue for pull_request webhooks. |
Can you post your job configuration? |
Nevermind, it looks like you have no credentials set up for the plugin so it is trying to do things anonymously. What version of the plugin are you using? |
Worked before seamlessly without creds set up – or at least I don't recall setting them up. Using this against an org repo. Version 1.24.8 of the plugin |
We did recently upgrade to Jenkins 1.619. So that might have also upgraded the previously working ghprb plugin and hence, stopped working. |
The file not found exception happens because anonymous can't access the repository. I am thinking it is the same for the error on line 269. Maybe the repo was recently made private? |
The repo has always been private. GitHub project: https://github.com/federatedsample/Fulcrum/ (private repo) Source Code Management Build Triggers

I am honestly surprised it ever worked. I am trying to see what has changed. There must have been some kind of credentials before. There must have been a username/password or token on the global config page at one time. What does the global config look like? |
It's possible it was originally set up somehow and the jenkins upgrade botched it all? but that seems weird. global config:
|
What's the proper way to set that up for an org? |
Just tried opening a new PR and got this in the logs:
|
Did the job build? It looks like the credentials you provided might be to limited. the 401 is usually, for github, used to mean that you don't have permission to get that information. |
This looks like a credentials issue to me as well and since it's >1yr old I'm going to close it for now. |
Using webhooks
ghprb logs on FINEST
As you can see, it is receiving webhooks (and I can verify in github that the request payload is received with a 200 OK response) when there are comments or when there pull requests created.
But, after that, nothing happens. No build is triggered. This just started happening about 7 days ago (that was our last successful build via ghprb).
