IdleMine

Graphic cryptocurrency miner for windows.

IM pic

Idle mine is a cryptonote(lite) miner for windows. It is powered internally by the xmrig miner. Setup involves running the installer and inputting wallet/pool info (don't forget to save it!).

Download the zipped installer HERE

There are 3 modes of operation:

    * Active mode: uses low cpu for when you are browsing or doing light computing.
    - Check active mode, choose level of CPU use, and hit start.

    * Idle Mine: if no activity (keyboard or mouse input) is detected in the timeframe
    you select, mining begins automatically
   - Select wallet & server, set time minimize and forget about it.

    * Normal mode: push start and walk away

IM displays data from the miner onscreen, Current fields are pool, ping, and total hashes. I would display hashrate but the json that xmrig exports has a zero for a field and I haven't figured that out yet.

Currently only cryptonote coins are implemented, I do not know if it's worth it to cpu mine any other algo. If I'm wrong tell me so and maybe we can fix it. GPU mining is not implemented, there are too many variablesfor new people. This is primarily designed as an entry point to cryptomining, and (hopefully) a decent alterative to minergate.

There is not a nicehash option, until the security issues are resolved I do not think I will add one.

I know there are cryptonote coins not listed, charnacoin, freelabits, and ultranote as possibilities, but don't have more than 1-2 servers. A lot of other cryptonote coins are dead projects that are only still being traded bcause of minergate and/or name confusion (bytecoin&dashcoin). If you know of a good currency I've missed please let me know ( I've added Karbowanec, Masari, and Electroneum.

At the moment IM is a windows only application and does require .net 4 or greater. I used winforms despite a preference for wpf so that porting will not be too difficult (hopefully). I don't have a linux or mac machine atm, but if anyone felt like it I would not be upset.

I have stayed up late a lot working on this, so every decision was not made clearheaded. If it's too buggy or my code is atrocious I apologize. But hey, I made this with my total lack of knowledge when people who are much better at it have not put in the effort. If you know how to set up a bugtracker on github HMU here or on reddit or email: jerry@fam-base.net.

Donations to the developer of XMrig are active and set to 1%. If you'd like to donate to me to thank me or encourage me to work more it would be appreciated.
