So I've noticed a potentially bothersome bug. When you have yourself a void surrounded by 1-sided lines, it seems like (semi randomly) if you draw one line on any of those lines and place it down it will auto fill the void space as a new sector. This can be irritating if your goal is to measure distance on a line to put down verts or something, especially since it doesn't happen EVERY time.
