  • When I create a link named "日本語" and click it, I get

    Server error: Could not getWikiBase: (path, uri) = ("\65533,\65533","/\26085\26412\35486")

  • Version:: gitit: 0.10-1 pandoc: 1.9.3-1+b1

    • these are debian's testing package
  • uname -a

    Linux (machinename) 2.6.32-5-amd64 [feature] authentication #1 SMP Sun May 6 04:00:17 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

  • please fix it if you can. m(_ _)m

That's odd. It seems to work fine on gitit.net:
http://gitit.net/日本語

Are you using a UTF-8 locale on the server?

From the release notes for gitit 0.10.0.1:

  • Fixed double-encoding bug for unicode page names
    (Alexander Vershilov).

No doubt that is your problem. So we just need to get debian to package
0.10.0.1 instead of 0.10.

Oh, the version '0.10-1' which aptitude shows means 0.10.0.* ?

I will pull the master version from github and compile it.

Sorry for annoying you. Thank you.

Yes - the -1 is debian-specific, not part of the upstream version.
