trying recent pandoc releases and latest version 3.3.1 I get a div repeated which was not the case in the version I created the source with (3.1.2-1)
tried upwards, the problem first appeared in version 3.2-1
where I find a hint in changelog with #9635.

I suspect a not closed tag being the reason as there also is a warning about my use of <div style="break-before:page;page-break-before:always;"/> which AFAIK should be fine(?) and not be detected as "unclosed" because indeed it is closed. And also the auto-close seems not to work as it should either.

is it a bug or documented behaviour/expectation to use <div></div> and never <div/>? which is my mitigation simply. just this behaviour may also create issues on other places.

I add a screenshot of the undesired effect with fixed positioning on the bottom and the files to generate the example.

PS: any way for pandoc to give me its full version so I can use that for the output filename without renaming? for now I abuse the package manager for that
