A proposal for MultiBit: A wallet that is stable and well defined with version.

Then we would get rid of these problems:

Upgrading to a newer version is harder than it should be
Changes to serialized classes will nearly always break the old format (BitCoinJ issue)
Moving the wallet to another machine can fail
Upgrade of the JDK can break the wallet
