write image with fs.outputFile based on buffer.

Is there a way to write the file like this:
fs.outputFile(pathToFile, image.bitmat.data, callback);
At the moment the file is writen but not considered has an image.

Forget this:
image.getBuffer() before write. Thanks to your sources i found this solution.
