Simple scripts to enable or disable the touchpad from the command line on GNOME desktops: enable-touchpad, disable-touchpad, and toggle-touchpad.
This allows you to simply ctrl-alt-T to open a terminal on a laptop with touchpad disabled, and run a script to change its state: enable-touchpad to enable, disable-touchpad to disable, or toggle-touchpad for a one-script-does-either.
