peertube live streaming- meet says this 'live stream key may be incorrect"

Description:

peertube now officially supports live streaming and for the past few days i have been using jitsi meet to livestream over to pertube. the small issue is putting the livestream key in the box i think expects only youtube because it says "live stream key may be incorrect". now, i can ignore that and i am successfully able to stream to peertube but some people might be put off by this error message.

Steps to reproduce:

1. sign up at https://peervideo.ru/
2. click on publish video and go live
3. copy stream key and secret
4. paste in https://meet.jit.si start live streaming "live stream key"

Expected behavior:

it should not show an error message

Actual behavior:

it says the stream key may be incorrect

How did you get this to work ? I tried to reproduce the steps but it didn't work ("The stream has stopped" message).
Obviously, I think we should put somewhere the RTMP URL of the peertube server ; I guess the current feature only implement the RTMP URL of Youtube.

Now that Peertube V3 is actually live, I hope to be able to livestream from Jitsi - we just lack a "RTMP URL" field to write in.

oh. this is really easy. go to peervideo.ru, signup and go live. get rtmp url and key.

put them on a public jitsi room and it works. the only issue i faced was jitsi expecting youtube or twitch i imagine and tried to say that it is wrong. but it worked flawlessly. i can help you with a set up

here. this screen recording should help. i just tried it now and it worked again. maybe you are not putting the stream key with a slash after the url... ;-)

OK, I understand. I thought you only put the stream key, I didn't think it could work with the RTMP URL followed by the stream key. Thanks !
