Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience. For more help, check http://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.

This is on my todo list, and also needs to be done for the successor of this project, Bishop. Thanks for the bump; I'll look at this next week.
