Release filesync #38
Comments
Hey hey! Release is on the way! :) Currently it's being checked by the play store team. |
That's great news! I noticed just now that play store releases were versions 6.0 and 12.0, and f-droid releases were versions 7.0 and 17.0. It would be great if f-droid gets release parity with play store! |
F-Droid should normally be build automatically. Not sure why it wasn't (I didn't configure this myself). |
Ah ok. I can see the release is on play store now but not on f-droid. A lot of projects host their own official f-droid repo. Would you be willing to set one up? Additional f-droid repos can be setup for unstable/testing/nightly builds if needed. The instructions are available at https://f-droid.org/en/docs/Setup_an_F-Droid_App_Repo/ |
PS: Perhaps we can close this issue, and move the request for F-Droid repo to a new issue? |
@ishanarora not sure one is needed. I try to have a look this Friday to see what went wrong. |
@johannesjo I'm happy to close this in favour of #39. |
I can confirm v19 with working filesync is now published on the Play Store, and having tested it myself, it works as expected! :D |
🙍 Problem Statement
I'm eager to see the filesync feature make it to an android release. I'm guessing it is soon to be released, or perhaps it is not yet deemed to be stable enough for a release.
❔ Possible Solution
A release, possibly a beta or unstable release. Unstable release could be released as a separate app, or alternatively on a custom fdroid repo.
Building an apk myself.
