Emoji-Helper currently uses gemoji.

There are other good free emoji themes:

It could be interesting for a user to have an option to choose the theme they prefer and display Emoji-Helper accordingly. 😺

Checking the licenses:

  • gemoji: non-free
  • emoji one: CC by-sa 4.0
  • twemoji: CC by 4.0
  • phantom: non-free, previously CC by 3.0 but incomplete
  • noto: Apache 2.0

I would also love to see support for other themes, especially Twemoji and Emoji One, which are both Creative Commons. I much prefer those two themes--especially Emoji One--to Gemoji.

There’s also Mozilla’s Emoji (CC by 4.0) now.

i second the request, i'd like to see an unicode-based Kaomoji theme.
