[4.0] No marked fields on form submission error

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Create a module of type "Articles - Categories"
2. Set it as published and also set a position but leave the "Parent Category" field empty.
3. Save the module and you will see an error but no marked field.
   

Expected result

A clearly marked field that indicates where the errror is.

Actual result

No marked field

System information (as much as possible)
