Documentation forms the backbone of any software application and is just as important as the executable code. In fact, it can be even more important because it is a guide for interpreting how to use the code in the right way amongst many paths that lead in unfavourable directions.

This repository houses the library of official documentation for software that the Joomla project produces. It is hosted on Github because documentation, like code, can also benefit from source control.

How to Help

The main way to help is by forking this repository and adding new content or editing existing files (because even documentation suffers from bugs and gaps in functionality). Once you've made changes, submit a pull request and it will be reviewed. All content is submitted under the provisions of the Joomla! Electronic Documentation License v1.0 or later. If you don't agree with that license, or cannot meet its provisions, don't submit a pull request.
