v3's reports can be displayed or printed, but so far have no good way to be exported to a file. Perhaps CSV export would be an appropriate replacement. Or perhaps there would be a button that would pop a plain-text version of the report.

Note that print-to-PDF is a possible variant.

A big question is whether report-to-file is really intended as a report, or really intended as a cheapo export mechanism.
