Hi,

When generating a debian package, it seems that no md5sums file is added to the resulting package.

It would be nice if it would be the case

dh_md5sums can be called to create it.

What makes you think that fpm is not doing what you ask already?

(it should be doing this, is what I'm saying)

Ahh, this is a regression. fpm used to do this.

Hi,

Retried (with version 0.4.27) and it definitely doesn't add a md5sums file when generating a debian package from either a directory or a gem

This can be confirmed by both "lintian" and "dpkg-deb -I"
