A browser extension for me to run my own scripts on web pages to add utilities
I started with this guide and continue with the official docs
This will only work on a Chromium-based browser. I use Vivaldi but this will also work on Brave, Chrome, and anything else that's able to use the Chrome app store for browser extensions.
- Run
yarn build
- This will create files in
./dist/
- This will create files in
- In the browser, visit
chrome://extensions
- Make sure "Developer mode" is enabled
- Click the "Load unpacked" button and select the
dist
folder
- Add something to use the Atlassian APIs to pull data and make a timeline of what I did during the day (commits, PR actions, Jira events, etc), and maybe also show for other people on the team
/dist
- The directory that the extension is loaded into the browser frommanifest.json
- the extension meta-data for the browserjqeury-3.4.1.slim.min.js
- adds jQuery for use in the extension*.bundle.js
- bundled extension code, generated withrollup
popup.html
- The DOM content for the extension popup in the toolbarpopup.js
- JS code for the extention popup
/src
- Source code for the extensionindex.js
- entry pointbackground.js
- background code with access to more the browser APIs/plugins
- individual scripts which run depending on the URL
Has buttons to open deployment environments and build pipelines, like bookmarks but one button can open multiple tabs
After the unpacked extension is loaded, you can edit the popup files inside ./dist
and see the updates immediately in the browser.
These are all in
./src/plugins
