Telegard Callers in Portal of Power
    Release 1.2 (September 21, 1997)
Copyright (c) 1997 by Jon Parise
    North Star Technologies

ÚÄ--Introduction
ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--ú ú ú

This is a simple little utility which will import the last few callers
from Telegard 3.00+ into Portal of Power 0.62's 'Last Users' display.

ÚÄ--Disclaimer
ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--ú ú ú

A wise man once said ...
ù If it breaks, you own all the pieces ...
ù No one *made* you use it ...
ù It works fine here ...
Therefore, TelePort is only guaranteed to take up drive space. Use at
your own risk.

ÚÄ--Operation
ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--ú ú ú

   1. Unzip this archive wherever you want. TelePort can run from any
        directory on your drive.

   2. Set TelePort up to run after a user logs on or when a user logs
        off. It's at your descretion.
        Execute it as ...

       TelePort {Telegard's Data dir} {Portal's main dir} [Portal Task]

     Telegard's Data Dir
      - This is the complete path to Telegard's Data directory
        (i.e. D:\Telegard\Data)

     Portal's Main Dir
      - This is the complete path to Portal of Power's main directory
        (i.e. D:\Portal)

     Portal Task
      - This is an optional parameter. If included, it is used to denote
which Portal??.Dat file to write to, where ?? is the current task,
in hex. The environment variable %PopTask% contains this information
        in a multiline environmeny.
        (i.e. TelePort D:\Telegard\Data D:\Portal 2 - or -
               TelePort D:\Telegard\Data D:\Portal %PopTask%)
If this parameter is excluded, TelePort will write to Portal.Dat.

ÚÄ--Notes
ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--ú ú ú

    ù I've compiled an OS/2 version of TelePort called TelePor2.Exe. It's
use is identical to the Dos version, described above. The source code
has been updated to reflect the changes.

ù The complete Pascal source code is included. See TelePort.Pas for
the copyright and legal information regarding its use.

ù There is some rudimentary file-locking used if Share is loaded.

ù Use OS/2! Just common sense, but you already knew that.

ÚÄ--Closing
ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--ú ú ú

I'm just a lowly Pascal programmer trying to do some good in the world.
Therefore, TelePort is released as Freeware. I will still support it, and
can be reached at:

This program was written using Borland International's Turbo Pascal 7.0
and fPrint, Ltd.'s Virtual Pascal for OS/2.

Good luck, and drop me a line if you like my work. I would enjoy hearing
thoughts and comments. Take care.
