http://jqueryui.com/support/ links to the getting started guide, but uses the old jqueryui.com/docs URL.

Quick fix would be to just point to docs.jquery.com, but we should really just update and move all the content.

@scottgonzalez Aren't we getting rid of docs.jquery.com?

Yup, that's why I didn't just do the quick fix of linking to it. I'd rather get the content moved somewhere permanent.

Where do we want this? jqueryui.com/getting-started ?

I guess it depends on how much content we want on the site vs. the wiki.

My personal thought is somewhere on learn, or on jqueryui.com

@dmethvin Will there be something similar for core? If so, where will it live?

If core has a getting started guide it's probably on docs.jquery.com and very ancient. There was discussion of putting some common project docs in jquery.github.com, such as the style guide and other project-coding-related stuff, but it doesn't feel like this content should go there. Seems like learn.jquery.com would be good.

+1 on putting getting started guides on learn.jquery.com

Yes, +1 for learn site here. We should just add a "Using jQuery UI" chapter and add "Getting Started" as well as a piece on the history and "role" of where jQuery UI fits into your app. For reference, of the current pages in the "Getting Started" header on docs.jquery.com

Downloading jQuery - now lives on jquery.com
How jQuery Works - ported learn site
Frequently Asked Questions - ported to learn site as individual articles
Tutorials - deprecated
Using jQuery with Other Libraries - ported to learn site
Variable Types - learn site but merged with other content

So, that brings us to a blocker on the learn site ;-) Got an ETA?

We are aiming to soft launch in mid november

Ok, I'll just point at the old docs site for now and then we'll work on getting some better content into the learn site.
