Hi there!
❌ As noted in our README, js.org is focusing on granting subdomain requests to projects with a clear relation to the JavaScript ecosystem and community.
Projects such as personal pages, blogs, and Discord bot pages will no longer be accepted. Projects such as NPM packages, libraries, tools that have a clear direct relation to JavaScript, will be accepted when requesting a JS.ORG subdomain.
Need a subdomain for a project that doesn't fall within the criteria for JS.ORG? Take a look at free-for.dev -> Domain.
Isnt that a tool made in Javascript related it? |
If not, can close pull request thanks alright. |
Most websites are built using JavaScript, it is the language of the web. That doesn't mean that they are all related to the JavaScript ecosystem/community though. What you've requested a subdomain for appears to just be a generic URL shortener. If it were an NPM package or similar, something that other JavaScript projects could utilise themselves as part of the site etc., I could see the relevancy, but this appears to just be a generic URL shortener that happens to be written in JS. I would also suggest that such a site may fall fowl of our terms of usage for js.org, as it allows for unvetted user-generated content on js.org (our domain could start pointing to anywhere via your URL shortener). (And a note for @indus, I'm not sure we want to target a .cf domain, as it's also a free domain and they tend to be rather ephemeral in nature?) I'm happy to let @indus provide a second opinion here if you feel I'm misinterpreting your request. |
Thanks for replying, |
I see it the same way as @MattIPv4 |

"cut: "dscc.cf",
Link shortener, written with Javascript
Hosted on replit, not github (ive created the cname request on replit's panel
Important: replit says me to insert the CNAME record as "cut.js.org CNAME dscc.cf" since i already have a domain named "dscc.cf"
