This is a basic context using schema.org.

What is this intended for? Does it cover schema.org completely? I doubt that's true

The schema is not exhaustive, as of now and just the one thats being used in the creator tool.

I thought this should be a basic context because schema.org will publish their own context later on as said over the mailing list. And it being concise may help new comers 👍

I don't think so because probably in 90% of the cases you left out the properties people need... yes, I know you've used @vocab :-)

This schema.org context still needs a lot of work, but we're getting enough people complaining about the schema.org examples not working in the JSON-LD playground to bump the priority up on merging this, even if it is imperfect.

I'm going to merge this as it will allow people to use a placeholder "@context": "https://w3id.org/schema.org" for the time being while the schema.org folks get content negotiation sorted on their site. Once that's done, we can make https://w3id.org/schema.org re-direct to the JSON-LD context served off of schema.org.
