A user may want to add some short context to a publication so adding an optional summary field for a publication could be useful. For example, if I published a paper called "JSON Schema for Resumes" I'd probably want to add a line or two giving the gist of it like "Proposed a standardized format for resumes to bring order to the resume world." Thoughts?

I'm a fan of adding context.

+1 seems like a good idea. This way, a potential employer doesn't need to read up on all the websites/journals where stuff is published.
