BLButtons

A simple, BLE Buttons controller to implement Simulator's button panels. Now supports multiple BLE profile, you you map at the same time a Keyboard, a Gamepad and a Mouse.

Check this elements also:

  • ESP32-BLE-Combo. Implements a multiple BLE profile, so you can send keyboard, mouse and gamepad (joystick) inputs as HID device.
  • BL-Radio. A custom made, generic radio panel (or whatever you want) to map the aircraft multiple radios interface. Implements modes and button remapping, as a bluetooth gamepad.
  • VoiceButtons. Map joystick inputs to text-to-speech commands. Works on Windows (Windows 10 tested) and includes a configuration file to tailor the app to your needs, and a DCS export module to extract data from it (so you can asign specific radio profiles por each mod (aka plane)). Very useful if you flight in VR and uses the BL-Radio radio panel.

  • Support clutch (2 modes).

  • 4 axis x 3 = 12 axis (8 axis supported for Xinput).

  • 17 buttons (x 2 modes) 51 buttons.

  • 2 levers (two buttons) x 3 6 additional buttons.

  • Pov hats are not in use.

  • in clutch_mode == 2 (down), support for keyboard events (F1 ... F12) and mouse control.

  • Changed the library BLE Combo to support Gamepad. Use My Fork in order to get the thing working.

Arduino setup.

  • Use These drivers for the ESP32 on Win 10
  • To upload, ensure the CLUTCH switch is on 0 (no light) or you can't upload the sketch.
  • Use NodeMCU-32S (ESP32) board version to do the work

ExceptionDecoder & SPIFFS Image Downloader

  1. Go to https://github.com/me-no-dev/EspExceptionDecoder/releases/ and download the latest release.
  2. Go to https://github.com/me-no-dev/arduino-esp32fs-plugin/releases/ and download the latest release.
  3. Go to the Arduino IDE directory, and open the Tools folder.
  4. Unzip the downloaded .zip folders to the Tools folder.
  5. You should get something like /Arduino-<version>/tools/ESP32FS/tool/esp32fs.jar and the same for the exception decoder.
  1. Inside the sketch folder, create a new folder called data
  2. Inside the data folder is where you should put the files you want to be saved into the ESP32 filesystem.
  3. Then, to upload the files, in the Arduino IDE you just need to go to Tools > ESP32 Sketch Data Upload.

Note: in some ESP32 development boards you need to keep the ESP32 on-board BOOT button pressed while it’s uploading the files. When you see the Connecting …….____…… message, you need to press the ESP32 on-board BOOT button.

BL gamepad library

  1. Bounce2https://github.com/thomasfredericks/Bounce2
  2. Go to https://github.com/lemmingDev/ESP32-BLE-Gamepad/releases and download the latest release.
  3. In the Arduino IDE go to "Sketch" -> "Include Library" -> "Add .ZIP Library..." and select the file you just downloaded.
  4. You can now go to "File" -> "Examples" -> "ESP32 BLE Gamepad" and select the example to get started.

  • PIN16 on new version, doesn't work. Changed with PIN13

  • ADC Column: ADC Channel/ADC1|ADC2. No number means no ADC.

  • ADC2 pins cannot be used when Wi-Fi is used.

  • The ADC input channels have a 12 bit resolution.

  • This means that you can get analog readings ranging from 0 to 4095, in which 0 corresponds to 0V and 4095 to 3.3V.

  • ANALOG INPUTS: 14 . 10 on ADC2, 4 on ADC1 (usable with WIFI)

  • DIGITAL INPUTS: 21 TOTAL, 7 only DIGITAL. Be careful with 12 and 13

  • ANALOG -> 3 [18]

  • KEYPAD -> 7x7 [14] [49 buttons]

  • Clutch -> 1 dedicated line (to avoid ghosting on the matrix - no use diodes)
