When right click pdf file and open in new browser tab, the new tab shows only dark grey background without any content display. It works on IE and with tabs within the lab on Chrome.

Hi @paris0120, that's odd. Do you have an example of the URL that doesn't work in the new tab?

What operating system are you running?

Also from the lab every time I go to another tab and go back to a pdf tab, the pad tab refreshes and goes back to the first page of the pdf.

That is tracked at #5714.

I am still having this issue with jupyterlab v 2.1.2 and Chrome Version 81.0.4044.138 on Windows 10 (jupyterlab server running in WSL).
