Need help with temporary solution to get usealttexture working on Kodi master (v22P) branch

Full Disclaimer: This is more of a selfish request and don't think is going to benefit most people.

I decided to go back to v22 again because of the 'Dolby Vision Compatibility' mode and was wondering if there was any way to get the usealttexture to work until the devs fix it a future nightly build (I know there's already an ongoing PR that's trying to fix the issue that you posted on the xbmc github).

This comment was posted a couple days ago and it got me wondering if I could edit this section in the Includes_Search_View.xml file to get it working, just as a makeshift workaround until it's fixed from the Kodi side.

I understand this is not the right way of approaching things, but I figured since usealttexture is only used in 3 places throughout the skin (DialogMediaSource.xml, DialogPVRChannelManager.xml and Includes_Search_View.xml) and the Discover hub is the most frequently used in my case, if I could just change that one file, maybe I could get it to work.

I have tried to modify that section while referring to that comment (basically trying to invert the textures & conditions) but couldn't get it to work.

So if you could kindly help me (or point me to the right direction) to get it working, I'd be much obliged!

Use two standard buttons. One with the texture for both texturefocus and texturenofocus and then another button without textures. Use a visibility condition to toggle between them just like usealttexture would.

Thank you so much for the reply! I decided to go ahead and make a Texture_Highlight_Underline_H_v2 in the Includes_Textures_Native, Includes_Textures_Script and textures_script.xmltemplate files with the texturefocus and texturenofocus inversed and then used that for the Search View file (also removed usealttexture from that button)

that seemed to do the trick!
