Android Calculator App

This is a simple calculator app for Android devices, developed using Kotlin and the Android SDK. It allows users to perform basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with decimal numbers.

Installation and Usage

Build the APK with Android Studio

  1. Clone the repository by running git clone https://github.com/jwt2706/AndroidCalculator.git
  2. Open Android Studio and select "Open an existing Android Studio project."
  3. Browse to the directory where you cloned or extracted the project and select it.
  4. Wait for the project to sync with the Gradle files.
  5. Build the application with Gradle.
  6. Locate the APK build once the process if finished, and install it on your Android device or on an emulator with Android 7 or higher.

Usage

  1. Once installed, launch the app on your Android device or emulator.
  2. You will see a simple user interface with number buttons, operator buttons, and an input field.
  3. Enter the first number by tapping the number buttons.
  4. Select the desired mathematical operation by tapping the corresponding operator button.
  5. Enter the second number by tapping the number buttons again.
  6. Tap the '=' button to perform the calculation.
  7. The result will be displayed in the input field.
  8. To perform another calculation, you can either clear the input fields by tapping the 'Clear' button, or continue with the previous answer.
