Computational Physics Unit

Content developed/modified for Portsmouth University, 2nd year Computational Physics Unit. Six lectures (python).

  • Tips for getting the most out of Computational Physics unit. Why people chose different languages. (e.g why we’re doing Python). Introduction to Python programming in general, and specifically in Portsmouth.
  • More introduction to python - lists and arrays. User defined functions.
  • Graphics and visualization with python.
  • Stochastic methods (in python)
  • Stochastic methods (in python)
  • Monte Carlo Simulations (in python; lab not done in 2017)
