This issue is a collection of ideas for plugins. If you have any idea for a plugin you would like to see, feel free to comment here and I can add it to the list.

  • A plugin manager to install, update and clean up plugins
  • Ctrl P or similar as fuzzy file finder
  • A theme manager to install, update and configure themes
  • Map displaying the exif coordinates of the current image

In latest version sxiv loads colors from xresources. That would be nice to be able to do that with vimiv too.

This sounds like a good idea and should be especially simple as all themes require 16 base colors anyway, thanks for the input!

EDIT:
Thinking about it, it would probably require changing the code in styles directly, I therefore opened #113 for this, hope this is fine.

As briefly mentioned in #321, a map showing the exif coordinates where an image was take would be nice. Currently, I do not have time for such a nice-to-have plugin but I guess we can add it to this list for later times 😊
