cava not working properly on arch linux using pulse audio

so, i have tried installing cava on both my laptop and desktop, both of which are running arch linux, both are using xfce, both use the xfce terminal emulator, both are using pulseaudio, but neither seem to be able to run it properly. they can both change background color, and i tried switching to noncurses, but to no avail. cava shows up on input and when i highlight the terminal i can see the bars(the row that i highlighted) eihter going up or disappearing, but i can't see the bars themselves. I am not sure if this may be related but i have my opacity down, tho i tested on mint and didn't see the same issues. i am not sure if i must provide more information but i will stop here, but you can ask me to either do or try certain things if needed

Sounds like good old #109, check your locale settings.

I'm Sorry for the VERY late response and for not being very careful when initially researching, it seems reconfigureing the locals fixed my issue, thank you for your help
