you can't edit the times of individual activities in a series.
it is something other calender systems support (the one of my phone will remove that one item from series, so you can then do whatever you want with it).
we have designed it in a different way that makes that difficult, if we allowed you to change the time, the system would end up regenerating another activity for the original series time.
it's not impossible to do, and I can imagine it would be nice! I have had the scenario before, where I wanted to shift the time in a one-off way....
It would be worth investigating how other calender systems model this. And also maybe keep a eye on how mobilizon federates events (does it even federate recurring events?), in case we want to support that later on.

in our meeting today, we thought maybe there are two levels to this:
if changing the series, and it would remove activities, instead of removing them, disable them
implement something that does allow people to change the time of an activity as part of series... explore a bit more the implications first though, .esp. the people signed up already
