Thanks a lot! If we manage to get the code translated, this will help a lot with getting SOSI support built-in as default in the ogr library.

I'll have to look a bit at the files to see if it makes sense to have them semi-translated (some bits like the i/o replacements are immediatel useful, the translated headers over a Norwegian block of documentation maybe less so) in the main branch, or if I'd rather open a translations branch. What do you think?

This semi-translation was mostly to get a lot of repetitive, boring, and automatable work (yeah! regexps!) out of the way before starting to translate the rest. Both me and Knut ( https://github.com/Gnonthgol ) has slowly started translating the Norwegian block of documentation.

I would suggest using a new branch. I wouldn't call the translation job complete (and an alternative to master) before all the comments and some of the variable and function names are translated. (maybe by wrapping the old function names for backwards compability). That also means that other users can fork your translate branch and not mine :)

Created a branch and synced with master, you might want to merge back at some point.
Closing the pull request so you can reopen one from a clean branch when more translations are in place.
