I'm working on a fork to maintain the v0.x.x versions and I need a branch called v0 to send PR to it. I'm doing this because I work with a project that use this lib, but my project use Angular 9 and some feature of this lib were add in v1.x.x and forward.

I would suggest that you simply push commits to your fork. I think it's easier for both parts. I can include a link to your fork in the README.md if anyone is interested in an Angular 9 version of the support.
Creating a separate branch would require me to review the PR and merge them, and unfortunately, I am too busy to dedicate time to this work. Additionally, publishing 0.x.x versions is out of the scope.
If you have any questions just tell me! In summary, I believe this is the best option!
