There could be a lot of different things you can do it but it but an example is having a buff apply whenever you are doted or given headpats and maybe another one when someone slaps you.

Or maybe if someone (un-)specific is close to you. Maybe it can be just random... but maybe also someone with a specific name/world. Or some races, genders... you can see where this is going. coughs
