some trivial changes due to simplified subsumption
also moved to GH actions (as Travis is now longer free for OSS)
I did not build/run the tests as some dependencies are not yet available for GHC 9.0, in particular inspection-testing and doctest. Maybe it is a good idea to move to cabal-docspec, which is also supported by haskell-ci.
