There are many resources available on developing Android applications out there. As embedded developers hacking the platform we don’t have this luxury.
The standard tricks that a Linux platform developer knows will not apply as most of the user space of Android has been designed from scratch. There is just a lot of new things to learn and understand. To be able to work as platform developer on Android one needs to understand many of new ideas introduced by Android. This Wiki hopefully will get you some answers. If not you can always grep for life
