Unable to set remotes & upstream branch

With git 2.1 on Linux I'm asked to set the upstream branch when I make the first push for a branch(e. g. git push --set-upstream origin master). I'm unable to do this within sublime-text-git, so please make a function to set the upstream branch. I'm also unable to set remotes (e. g. git remote add origin git@github.com:laufi/TestBranch.git) within sublime-text-git. I'd be happy if I can do my complete git workflow within ST3!

Now I see that when the repo is completely new git pushes instantly.
