House-price-prediction

This is a web application that predicts the pricing for your house based on multiple parameters such as location, house features, etc. We currently support 6 Indian cities. ie - Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

How to run:

You can visit the website and use it there. Currently the project is under development so the site hasn't been setup yet.

If you would like to run it locally:

  1. Clone this repository by using git, or download the zip file over here and extract.

  2. Download Python and pip. Then, run pip install -r requirements.txt or pip3 install -r requirements.txt depending on your OS.

  3. Run the app.py file using your IDE/text editor or navigate to the folder where this is stored using your command line and run python app.py or python3 app.py, again, depending on OS what you use.

  4. Visit 127.0.0.1:5000, to view. This is where the site is hosted by default.

Reporting bugs:

To report a bug, you can visit the issues tab and report them there. If you are unfamiliar with github, click here and click the new issues button and then click the new issue button. Fill out an appropriate title and give a detailed description of the problem and include the steps to reproduce.

If you have found a bug and would like to contribute code to fix it, please create a new PR.

The data set used for this project is available on kaggle and all credit goes to the original contributor of the dataset.

Any Contributions are welcome and the project uses the MIT licence.

This website has been tested on the brave browser. If you face any issues on any other browsers, please create a new issue.

Please note that no machine learning model is a 100% accurate, and therefore we do not take any responsibilities regarding the predictions. This project is entirely for information purposes and to give you a rough idea of what your house may be worth.
