rusqlite 0.0.17 can't find crate pkg_config #1

git cloned repository then ran cargo install
rusqlite v0.0.17 can't find crate for pkg_config
extern crate pkg_config;
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ can't find crate

I'm new to rust. Maybe I'm missing something.
