Can't dismiss event reminders #708

I think I hit the same issue. I enabled debugging then opened the Error Console and then I could see an error message saying effectively: "I'm not the owner I can't update the event". As a workaround I went into the events in Google Calendar and removed the notification for events that are in the past. |

Same thing happens to me, but how do you @maxwell-k disable notifications for past events? Going to those events one by one? |

I have the same problem. Indeed, they all do seem to be past repeated events. I also have a "!" sign next to the account name and when I hover it says "The calendar is momentarily not available", and yet I can create events on Thunderbird that then appear on my google calendar. Do you have these effects too? I only just started using Thunderbird again, so I don't know what triggered this trouble for me. I'll try getting rid of the notifications in the old events (for some reason it's not that long a list) but I think this is a bug. |

Same issue on my end using version 115.8.1 on opensuse tumbleweed from the official repositories (not flatpak/snap). |

I have the same problem, and could not find another open issue in the tracker. I created a new bug report in the issue tracker. #781 |

No matter what I do I can't dismiss any of the event reminders that pop up from Provider.
I'm running Thunderbird 115.6.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11 (Although the same problem also occurred on 10 Pro) and Provider 115.0.2
