Kineme AudioTools

Kineme AudioTools is a Quartz Composer plugin for audio input and output. It provides patches for:

  • Playing audio from files
  • Getting waveforms and frequencies from files and devices
  • Getting information about input and output devices
  • Embedding audio files inside compositions
  • Playing the system beep

How to get it

Download or clone it from GitHub.

How to install it

  1. Install the QCPatch Xcode Template, a.k.a. Quartz Composer unofficial API, a.k.a. SkankySDK.
  2. Build AudioTools.xcodeproj. This will create the file ~/Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/AudioTools.plugin.
  3. Restart Quartz Composer. The patches will show up under the Kineme AudioTools category.
