I've observed in version 3.0.0 that for a bilingual site offering Finnish and English, the language selector displays "Su | En". While the current slicing method in the custom component may suffice for many languages, it does not align with standard expectations for Finnish. Users in Finland would expect seeing "Fi | En" in accordance with ISO 639-1 language codes. You could just use lang capitalized..
Best regards,
Erkka
