Android fails on running Kivy apk #381
Comments
I've seen this error reported before but I'm not sure what caused it. Could you try wiping the buildozer build and and trying again? Or even better, use |
**Thanks for the help. I tried buildozer android_new debug and it didn't work: Command failed: python -m pythonforandroid.toolchain --color=always --storage-dir=/home/yjon701/Documents/Python/Kivy/PlotAccelerometer/.buildozer/android/platform/build create --dist_name=accelplot --bootstrap=sdl2 --requirements=kivy,plyer,ws4py,openssl --arch armeabi-v7a --copy-libsBuildozer failed to execute the last command** |
Post the full log with log_level=2. |
Hey Alexander, thanks for helping. The output of the buildozer android logcat is 2.2 meg of .txt and I cannot post it here. So I uploaded them on my Scratch repository: Please see the files: https://github.com/YJonmo/Scratch/blob/master/main.py |
The important part is:
I'm not sure what's wrong though - presumably this code works for you on the desktop? |
Thank you for the reply. Well it doesn't work on the Linux as I don't have an accelerometer. I should try it on an emulator and see what happens. |
Hi there, below is the log for the Galaxy S3 when it crashes when I am trying to run a sample come from: https://github.com/kivy/plyer/blob/master/examples/accelerometer/using_graph/main.py V/RealCellState( 2760): telephonyManager network type is 8 |

I have the same error. Starting: Intent { act=org.renpy.android.PythonActivitycmp=org.test.myapp/org.renpy.android.PythonActivity } |
Closing as stale, since nothing about it recently. |
I am getting a bit frustrated with kivy. I am just using online sample codes and still it does not work. On my Ubuntu 14.04 terminal after I type
buildozer android debug deploy run
it shows things are going well and at the end it types:
Application pushed.
Run on 4df149060fbf6f21
Run '/home/yjon701/.buildozer/android/platform/android-sdk-20/platform-tools/adb shell am start -n com.wordpress.bytedebugger.accelplot/org.renpy.android.PythonActivity -a org.renpy.android.PythonActivity'
Cwd /home/yjon701/.buildozer/android/platform
Starting: Intent { act=org.renpy.android.PythonActivity cmp=com.wordpress.bytedebugger.accelplot/org.renpy.android.PythonActivity }
Application started.
but on my Samsung Galaxy III the screen of the 'loading ...' appears and then it crashes. Most of the codes I made for the android end in the same way. So I don't know what is wrong. Any idea?
