Don't perform the procedure for a repository if there is nothing to merge #1

The branches might exist in some repository, but they can be "empty", i.e. contain no commits compared to the current branch => it would be nice to skip the procedure for this repository to avoid extra create branch + merge + checkout + remove branch procedure.
