The knockout site has a page dedicated to the 'mapping' plugin, which however has not been active for a long time (6 years). There are numerous forks, however none of these seem actively maintained and prevailing over others.
I think this plugin is very useful because it avoids writing a lot (boring) code.
Why not move the official repository into knockout (if @SteveSanderson allowed it) or fork and then resume development and PR?
