I may have missed this somewhere, but it would be nice if there were a button or keyboard shortcut to go back to "now" or whatever the current date/time is.

It would also be nice if you could command + click or ctrl + click to go to beginning or end of an event or time range so one could more easily jump around.

Then after jumping around, easily go back to "now".

Also, possibly using the scroll wheel to shrink/expand the time range the window represents

There's a button, keyboard shortcut is a good idea.

Can you explain more about the cmd + click idea? Cmd + click on an event takes you to the beginning of that event?

Right now I have pinching on the trackpad for zooming in/out. What browser/OS are you using?

In addition to that button, I added another button where you can jump to a date or date range, expressed in markwhen syntax:

Oh, wow, I thought I had tested that the "now" line didn't make me jump back but maybe I was wrong but works as I would expect it to now. Using Firefox (106.0.2) on OSX (Monterey 12.5.1). But I plug in to monitor, shut the laptop and use keyboard/mouse.

Re: cmd+click - I meant clicking on the Event in the Editor/markdown text to jump to that Event in the Timeline, right now it doesn't do anything for me.

I don't see the Jump to Date option yet (maybe it hasn't been released yet) but that will be nice, too!

Ah ok. Yeah if you hover on the event in the editor there should be a little popup, the third button will scroll to that event in the timeline. There's no cmd + clicking yet.

And the jump to date dialog should be there now!

I added zoom in/out buttons next to the range adjuster, that should do the trick for you.

I also think (at least on mac) that holding down ctrl while scrolling with the mouse scroll wheel zooms in and out, seems to work for me on firefox
