Instead of load_sample_data you can use ./manage.py import_gtfs or django admin panel to load your GTFS file. You can also use example GTFS in fixtures folder.
You can access Django Admin site at /admin/ and use previously set up creditentials to log in.
There you can manage your models and import/export GTFS models.
Simply run tests by ./manage.py test
After making any changes to model make sure to generate migrations ./manage.py makemigrations and apply them by ./manage.py migrate
