pure data / Gem external to convert the depthmap provided by Kinect camera via pix_freenect or pix_openni from raw format into a color gradient suitable for visual feedback.

pix_openni and pix_freenect can (if set to raw mm mode) output the depth information in millimeter in the red and green color channel.

this external allows you to convert the depthmap into a color gradient with adjustable maximum distance.

all computation is done on cpu!
consider using gpu shaders!
